I have this problem where I can't seem to stop myself from buying books, especially when it's books that I've been wanting to read and they are on offer or not at that full price. Even though I took a few books on holiday with me I still couldn't help myself. I am impressed that I only bought 4 though, it is definitely an improvement on my last book haul at the end of last year.
I'm a fan of Carrie's Youtube channel and I bought her book "All I Know Now" last year after having read the blog precursor to it. I love her writing style and I wanted to see how she would do with a fictional book. It was full price but honestly, there were only a couple of copies left in the WHSmiths in Newquay. Initially I had walked out of the store without buying it but I went back and picked it up a few hours later, that totally counts as leaving it time to see if you want it.
I first heard about "The Girl on the Train" at the book blogger event I went to in November last year. Everyone seemed to have heard about it and was raving about it but I'd not heard anything about it. I felt like I'd been living under a rock. I saw recently that it was being made into a film and I thought I'd get the book and give it a read. It definitely helped that Sainsbury's was selling it for £4. I couldn't resist that price.
Honestly I got "Me Before You" and "After You" on a whim. I've not seen the film that came out this year but I was intrigued by it, and I din't know there was a sequel and what with Sainsbury's only selling books at £4 each I thought it was worth while. I'm intrigued as to what these two books will have to offer and I'm hoping that I will like them.
I'm hoping that I manage to make my way through these books quicker than the ones I bought in December and hopefully I will actually start to make a dent in my TBR pile.
Let me know what books you've bought recently, they may be added to my next book haul if not owned already!
Hasta la feugo
